NHS dental charges
Prices for treatments under the NHS will depend on which of 3 bands the items on your course of treatment fall under.
As of 1st April 2024, the Government has decided to introduce the new price structure as follows:
Band 1
£27.40
- Examination, assessment and advice
- X-rays (if required)
- Diagnosis and treatment planning
- Scale and polish (if clinically needed)
Band 2
£75.30
- Covers all treatments included in Band 1
- plus additional treatment, such as:
- Fillings
- Root canal treatment
- Removing teeth (extractions)
Band 3
£326.70
- Covers all treatments included in Bands 1 and 2
- plus more complex procedures, such as:
- Dental crowns
- Dental bridges
