Our expert facial aesthetics clinician, Dr Ashka Patel, will first schedule an in-depth consultation with you to assess your suitability for the Botox treatment. Dr Patel will learn about your needs and ask what results you would like to achieve, before tailoring your treatment accordingly for the best outcome.
It is a low risk procedure. Areas of the face to be treated are injected with an extremely fine needle to accurately deliver a small amount of Botox. A numbing cream can also be applied beforehand, if required.
Botulinum toxin treatment is quick (10-15 minutes) with minimal discomfort and there is no down time or recovery period. Results may take a couple of days to show and full results should be achieved about a week after treatment. The number of injections and amount of Botox used varies between individuals and the number of areas to be treated.
Results normally last around 3-4 months, after which a top up treatment will be required to prevent wrinkles from reappearing. With regular treatment, results will last longer, so appointments can be less frequent.
